I have been teaching since 2006. I have spent the majority of my career in 2nd grade, but have enjoyed teaching 3rd grade as well.
I enjoy making learning fun for my students and myself. I do this by building in a variety of games, and activities that keep my students actively engaged.
One day I'll be a NIB... ;)
Growing up, I was a quintessential "teacher's kid." I spent my summers at my mom's school, and when I wasn't there, I spent my days playing "school" with my little brother and various stuffed animals. I guess I've known all along I would end up in this profession and I'm thankful to say that it is exactly where I belong...most days. ;) I attended Pacific Lutheran University where I graduated with a degree in elementary education. A few years later, I attended City University where I received my master's degree in Reading and Literacy.
I am an elementary teacher, wife, and mother of two. I love playing soccer and lacrosse and have recently started dabbling in coaching these sports as well. I love crafting, scrapbooking and sewing. Shopping is one of my favorite pastimes as well.
