MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in students as leaders in their learning. Give students the tools they need to succeed and they will take charge! I spend the first month of school not only teaching the classroom procedures and routines, but also teaching how to log on to computers, sign in to Google, access Drive and those resources, sign in to various learning websites, etc. We also participate in ongoing digital citizenship lessons. The students are then able to navigate the classroom and the Internet effectively in order to guide their own learning, freeing my time up to teach small groups and individual students.
