The 2017-2018 school year will be my twelfth year as an educator. I began my career in South Florida, teaching ESE, ELL, and Gifted 4th and 5th grade students. I developed my school's Gifted program that flourished from me, the one part time Reading teacher, to three self contained units. I was lucky enough to be the 4th/5th grade combo unit and was immersed in writing and STEM activities daily. I've been hooked on STEM every since. I moved to North Florida in 2014 and have taught 2nd grade for three years. Raising the bar for my 2nd graders achievement in STEM has been so fulfilling. I love my job and am inspired by the wonderful educators I have worked with and learn from still today.
I love creating open, engaging, student centered classroom environments. There is a lot of discussion, collaboration and hands on learning. My room is hardly ever still and quiet and that is how I like it!

My two daughters are the center of my world. I have a junior in high school who is a competitive soccer player and a 4th grader who loves all things tech and plays piano. They are my greatest gifts and I thank the Lord for them everyday.
