TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm proud to have been a teacher for 26 years, with the majority of my experience being in first grade. I taught Reading Recovery for 5 years, and that experience impacted every day of my teaching since! For the last 10 years of my career, I enjoyed teaching a first grade literacy intervention class. It has also been my privilege to present various workshops on literacy topics at the local, state, and national level. I continue to present workshops to the parents of preschoolers on the topic of preparing for kindergarten. My goal is to provide teachers with resources that will keep their little learners actively engaged in hands-on learning!
