TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Professor of Education, Kankakee Community College 2009-Present Adjunct Professor, Kankakee Community College 2005-2009 High School Teacher and Coach Herscher High School Herscher, IL 2001 - 2006 Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Illinois State University Normal, IL 2000

MY TEACHING STYLE

Following a Constructivist approach, my goal is to empower students, so that they have the confidence to become effective classroom leaders. Teaching is both an art and a science. Not only must an effective educator be aware of theories and how to apply the knowledge to classroom situations, he or she must also creatively implement strategies to help students achieve. In order to make a difference in a person’s life, you must sacrifice your time, invest your energy and go above-and-beyond to reach-out and help them. Not every profession has such an emotional demand placed on the individual, but there is no other career quite like teaching.
