I have 16 years of teaching experience in grades 2-8 and Adult Education. Currently, I am a stay-at-home mom as I just succeeded in a 5-year long battle with Stage IV melanoma!!! I am enjoying the simple things in life - cooking, laundry, cleaning house, and volunteering at my kids' schools. I am blessed to be alive and am savoring every moment with my family!!!
I love finding ways to incorporate the multiple intelligences and different learning styles into all of my lesson plans. I like to get kids up and moving and keep them engaged. Learning should be an adventure that my students look forward to each day. I want them to wonder about what's next and to be excited about it!!!

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Purdue University in 1991. I am currently working toward my M.S. in Special Education, and LOVE working with kids that learn differently!
When I was diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma, I was told that I had a 17% chance of surviving past 5 years. I am still here and am living proof that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD!!! :)
