I have taught French to gifted learners in British Columbia, Canada, summer science camps, English to high school and middle school students in south-west France, and English to newcomers in Europe.
School teachers are uniquely in-tune with the rapid changes our students and classes are undergoing. My teaching style is based on scaffolding learning through units of inquiry, problem-based learning, and using authentic artifacts as much as possible. I believe students should be outside, sinking their teeth into real world problems and building critical thinking skills by putting knowledge into action and reflecting on these practices.
Erasmus Mundus Full Scholarship in Europe
I have a BA in Cognitive Sciences which taught me about the different modalities of learning and how information is processed in the brain. I then did an Erasmus Mundus MA in Transnational Migration studies where I studied in three different countries: France, Romania and Senegal.
Now I am doing a PhD studying Global Studies and Conflict Studies in Canada.
