As an innovation and design thinking consultant with deep expertise in education reform and strength-based curriculum design, I have led over a dozen executive-level, $1M+ client initiatives across a wide range of education-related industries, including the design of strength-based assessment solutions, project-based and social-emotional learning curriculum, student success apps, career-exploration tools and best-practice sharing platforms. I am deeply passionate about developing student curriculum that results in individualized learning plans and the 21st-century skillsets students need to live curiously, think critically, master organizational and productivity skills, practice leadership and explore how their strengths and interests intersect with college and career opportunities. My expertise in positive psychology, behavioral science and mindfulness training coupled with 8+ years as an innovation consultant and design strategist positions me to develop curriculums that help students achieve fulfillment, autonomy, passion, and a sense of purpose.
I believe in fostering project-based, inquiry-based and team-based learning, emphasizing the student's role in the learning process and empowering students to lead with curiosity and asking questions. I believe students learn best when they have real-world opportunities to practice problem solving while applying interdisciplinary skillsets to make a meaningful impact in the local community. As a seasoned design thinker, I believe a focus on teaching 21st century skillsets like problem framing, pattern recognition, critical thinking, stress management and teamwork are critical to preparing students for successful and fulfilling careers.
