This is my ninth year teaching special education in an urban environment. I taught self contained 1st -5th grade for 4 years. I am currently teaching kindergarten special education (inclusion). I spend my days working in small group both in and outside of the classroom as well as co-teaching with the general educator. I also work to support other special educators in the building. I really love teaching a variety of different learners and proving the possible every day.
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” -Muhammed Ali As a special educator in an inclusion environment, my day to day is about getting students to achieve things that many others think is impossible.
