Over the past 20 years, I have worked with children from infancy to middle school in various ways. I started out developing lesson plans for children ranging from birth to kindergarten. I implemented those lessons plans in the Child Development Center where I worked. I have been a stay at home mom to two sons for almost 15 years. During this time, I created and taught activities to supplement my children's public-school education. I have also taught my children about art and have encouraged them to use art as a means of self-expression. I worked as a part-time Children's Minster for my church. I organized field trips and activities for elementary age students. I taught Bible Drill for elementary age children at my church for 2 years. I implemented a pre-made lesson plan as well as created art activities that fit with the lesson plans. I taught Mission Friend at my church, which is a program for preschool age children. I created lesson plans and activities. I also guided children through several art activities each session.

I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, which includes Early Childhood Credentials. I have a Bachelor of Art in Liberal Studies with a concentration in psychology. My goal is to get my Maters of Art Therapy in the next several years.
