TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have more than ten years' experience eaching French and Spanish to all age groups in both private and public schools. I also taught English as a foreign language for five years in Oxford, England.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style is rigorous while at the same time remaining student-centered and project oriented. I like to orchestrate a choreographed approach to developing communicative competency. Students work in small and large groups to practice and develop fluency using games and activities. I also expect students to be able to focus and work well on their own, to set personal goals for work completion and quality, and to develop the ability to edit their own work. Project centered curricula seem to work best for me in attaining these goals, as these types of lessons engage and involve students on so many levels.
