TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! I'm Rachel Lamb, an experienced 2nd grade teacher in the sweet state of North Carolina! This year is my 17th year teaching! I taught 4th grade for 7 years, 2nd grade for 9 years, and now I'm in 3rd!!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is constantly evolving, but I would describe it as "all over and everywhere!" I have the attention span of a...well, a 2nd grader so we are an actively engaged little classroom. I love workshop style with quick lessons then practice. I use Fountas and Pinnell LLI for all guided reading and I teach skill and strategy mini-lessons whole group each day as well. For math, we use enVisions, but in science and social studies I have free reign over, so I make my own resources which you will find in my shop! You will also notice I update these often as curriculum and my understandings change! Science it is my favorite subject to teach!
