Hi! I'm Rachel Lamb, an experienced 2nd grade teacher in the sweet state of North Carolina! I have been teaching for 14 years! I taught, and loved, 4th graders for my first 7 years and moved to 2nd grade where I am still teaching and trucking along.
My teaching style is constantly evolving, but I would describe it as "all over and everywhere!" I have the attention span of a...well, a 2nd grader so we are an actively engaged little classroom. I love workshop style with quick lessons then practice. I use FOuntas and Pinnell LLI for all guided reading and I teach skill and strategy mini-lessons whole group each day as well. For math, we used Math Expressions for the last 5 years so it does influence how I still teach! Science and Social Studies I have free reign over, so I make my own resources which you will find in my shop! You will also notice I update these each year as curriculum and my understandings change! Science it is my favorite subject to teach!
