I am a third year teacher in Orlando, Florida at a Title 1 school, where many hands-on activities are needed to enrich learning. I taught Kindergarten my first year, and am now for the second year enjoying the lovely world of first grade!!
I use a variety of teaching methods and styles to accommodate all learning styles. I prefer small group activities that engage learners and focus on one skill at a time. I reinforce many skills taught through workstations and centers, both math and reading. I try to use as many hands-on workstations as possible and intertwine fine motor skills in with the workstations to help strengthen these skills. I also enjoy hands-on science experiments that have reflections to follow.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2011 with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in both reading and ESOL. I'm currently in Grad School focusing in Educational Leadership. I continue to learn as an educator through frequent professional development opportunties.
Teaching is not only my profession, but my passion! I am one of the few that love going to work every day! I have been creating materials and workstations for students to complete during my first year teaching and have recently began to call making these materials my hobby! I hope you enjoy my activities and if you have any suggestions, I have open ears! ENJOY :)
