TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a licensed K-12 school counselor, currently working at an elementary school in North Carolina. This is my first year as school counselor and I am loving every minute of it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a big fan of utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in my counseling and helping students understand that their thoughts are the driving force of their feelings and behaviors. I also believe that teaching should be fun, which is part of why I like to create my own resources and make them interactive and fun for students! My main interactions with students are through classroom lessons, group counseling, and individual sessions so most of my materials apply to one of these areas.
