I grew up in a small town on a farm in Illinois. After graduating from college in 1999, I ended up in Arizona where I taught First Grade and Kindergarten for 6 amazing years on the south side of Phoenix. I have a passion for 'those kids'. The children that some people think will never learn because of their economic status. I moved to Casa Grande in 2006 and continued to teach the same grades for three years before becoming an Academic Coach. I was an Academic Coach for four years and a District Specialist for two. I am currently a TOA (Teacher On Assignment) which is basically an assistant principal without the title or the pay. I look forward to be a principal in the near future!
My style is the student's style. It's up to me to find how they learn best. I love trying new things and offering teachers strategies.
