TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Thank you for visiting my store! My name is Ryann Overbay and I have been working as a teacher in Japan for the past five years. Currently, I work as an English literature teacher at an all-girls private school in Tokyo. I teach grades 7th and 8th at the moment but have had experience teaching high school, elementary school, and adult learners as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I encourage my students to "own their learning". My teaching style is centered around acting as a facilitator for them to do just that. Through hands-on activities, relevant debate and discussion topics, and a careful selection of texts, I encourage my students to make connections and think outside the box.
