TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught music for 21 years. For the past 10 years I have been writing and performing children's music. My song "Dig Into Reading" won 2014 Best Children's Song of the Year from the Indie Music Channel out of Hollywood California. It also won 3rd place in the DSA Song contest out of Dallas. I write music for both fun and educational purposes. My music show for kids is called "Randy's Music Jam".

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a fun teaching style and encourage kids to be creative.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Randy has been awarded Best Children's song from the Indie Music Channel out of Hollywood, CA in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Randy has also been Award Best Children's song from the Radio Music Awards in 2015 and 2016. Rand was awarded the 2013-2014 Kansas Music Educators Outstanding Elementary Music Teacher of the Northwest District. The DVD called "Go Crazy" won a 2013 Preferred Choice Award from Creative Child Magazine. It has many movement and dance songs on it. "Dig Into Reading" won 3rd place of the Children's Category of the 2013 Dallas Songwriters Songwriting Contest. "Dig Into Reading" is also a nominee for best children's song with the Indie Music Channel.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelors of Music Degree from Fort Hays State University. Masters Of Liberal Studies with a emphasis in Recording and Composition from Fort Hays State University.
