MY TEACHING STYLE

Do you remember that time you were playing an educational song in class, and one student was especially engaged with the song, nodding his head along with the music? So the song ends, and you ask that student, "What did you learn from that song?" and the student simply replies, "I didn't learn anything. I just liked the beat." These are the types of moments that scream, "THE CLASSROOM NEEDS RAP OPERA FOR KIDS!" - Haven't educational rap songs already been done? There are TONS of educational rap songs out there, but none of them are fully integrated into reading activities based on the song lyrics. With Rap Opera for Kids, when the music stops, the learning doesn't. Our songs incorporate history and pop culture topics that kids love into reading and math activities using our unique, rap opera style. - Educate. Entertain. Empower! © 2019 Rap Opera for Kids. - *Note: Rap Opera for Kids adheres to the APA style guide with reference to the capitalization of racial and ethnic groups when they are designated by proper nouns. (APA Publication Manual, 6th edition, 3.14, p. 75.) Therefore, the words "Black" and "White" are always capitalized in our texts when they refer to people groups as in the case of the words "Asian, Latino," and "Native American."
