Ray Gosa has been teaching in public schools for nearly thirty years. All of his investment has been in the Palm Beach County School District in PBC, Florida. He has also presented in numerous workshops across the state of Florida that featured his own research-based strategies and materials designed to improve reading fluency, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills in struggling and non-struggling students alike.
The teaching style that I employ is eclectic; that is, it is multi-dimensional and multi-functional. I believe every student can and does learn when the lesson is heated or cooled to his particular tolerance level. I believe in maverick approaches when and if conventionalism fails to produce. For, one of the elements in education that is surely not optional is student achievement! When students fail to achieve, education becomes a void concept; and, the future of civilization itself is placed in jeopardy!
