TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Randy has a strong background that supports his ability to lead his students to success. He started his career when he created RC’s Custom Fabrications LTD in 1979. Over a five year span his company produced several projects such as the Canadian Coast Guard’s hanger door in Prince Rupert (approx. 30’ * 120’), eight local Structural Steel Warehouse Roof systems, and provided manufacturing / installation services to local area factories. Starting in 1984, Randy served the Provincial Government of British Columbia as a Structural Steel Welding Inspector, Bridge Branch. As a Government inspector he worked on several multi-million dollar projects such as the Alex Fraser Bridge, Annacis Island Rotating Bridge, Boston Bar Bridge, Dry Gulch Bridge on the Coquihalla Highway, Lions Gate Bridge tower repair, and Silver Hope Overpass on the Trans Canada Hwy near Hope BC. As a High Steel Superintendent Randy provided leadership to several construction crews installing structural steel in six of Vancouver finest skyscrapers including 888 Beach Ave. Randy’s academic achievements are as follows: • Bachelor of Education : UBC (2002) • Teacher Technology Education Diploma (2 year): BCIT (2001) • A-Level Welding TQ: BCIT (1984) • Steel Fabrication TQ: BCIT (1977) Currently Randy follows his passion of teaching at a public school in Surrey BC, Canada.
