This fall will be the start of my fifth year in the classroom! While my educational career is seamlessly moving forward I have brought with me a plethora of experiences from a variety of careers I dabbled in. In my early twenties I felt it was important to gain an understanding of the various work-related options the world held for me. With that said, I bring a medical, clerical, and real estate, background into the classroom. My medical experience has taught me compassion and precision. My clerical experience has molded my classroom into a well organized machine. Lastly, my real estate experience has given me the personal touch that a teacher needs in order to truly reach her students and make a difference for a lifetime. Although my educational transcript does not reflect 20 plus years of service in the profession (yet), I am equipped with so much more and grateful for each of those experiences. After all, knowledge is a powerful tool!
This is a difficult question to tackle. I have gathered a wealth of knowledge during my graduate school studies and have concluded that it is imperative that I adopt, mold, and reflect on my teaching styles daily. Each student brings a new vibe into the classroom and therefore my teaching styles are interchangeable.
Currently a work in progress.... :-)
I hold an undergraduate degree and teaching certification from Trinity Christian College. I am currently 3/4 of the way finished with my Graduate degree from American College of Education.
