TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my fifth year of teaching middle school Language Arts. I teach both honors and on level classes focusing on the full implementation of Common Core State Standards. I have also had experience teaching high school English 1 (Freshman English) and 7th and 8th grade History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style focuses on helping to build a foundation for students so that they can realize their potential to tackle today's challenges.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was awarded “Quality Instruction” by my district in 2015 and had the honor of presenting at this year's district Ed Tech 2.0 Conference.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I recently received a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Santa Clara University. Previous to that, I received a B.A. in History and a single subject teaching credential in English and History.
