Education is my passion. I have experience as a fourth grade teacher for ten years and now work as an intermediate level reading specialist. While I've taught all subjects, I am especially enthusiastic about literacy instruction. My teaching follows best practices and research while integrating 21st century learning skills through technology. I seek to empower my students and their families to take responsibility for their learning and discover valuable learning opportunities in their everyday lives. Throughout my professional education, I have earned in Master's in Reading and am also certified as a Reading Specialist. I have also earned an additional certificate in Family Literacy.
Engaging, interactive, student-centered, differentiated, responsive, brain-based, student choice encouraged, 21st century learning
