ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have taught for 44 years in all grade levels except prekindergarten in the area of Language Arts. Advancing special populations through interaction is my special interest. Over the years, I have developed many teaching materials that help specific populations (who are largely at risk) become successful. I have been responsible for teaching students who have failed the STAAR test in summer school as well as in special classes within the year. I developed the Dyslexia Progam for Jacksonville ISD that served as a model for many other school districts in Region 7. I gave several presentations to teachers throughout the Region concerning dyslexia remediation while teaching those students in the classroom.
