TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my fifth year teaching language arts. I've taught general and special education, ranging from grades 6-12. I was a member of Teach For America, Atlanta corps 2012, in which I taught high school ELA and special education. I am currently teaching middle school ELA and special education, grades 6-8.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in providing choice and scaffolded support to teach reading and writing. I think novels are the best and most engaging way to teach reading and promote a lifelong love of learning.
