TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught third and fourth grade learners for 17 plus years. I love working with 8 -10 year old learners. Seeing them grow in their love of learning, especially reading and writing, makes me smile.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I think it is important for all students to take ownership of their learning. To encourage ownership, I like to give students voice and choice during the school day. I want to create an environment that supports a love of learning. Specifically to reading, I highly value allowing ample time for learners to read each school day.
