TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my fifth year of teaching and currently serve as the co-chair of the English department at my high school. I've taught Freshman Expository Writing, Advanced Expository Writing 12 (for seniors), Film as Literature, and Advanced Placement Literature.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is largely discussion based, and I believe the best discussion takes place after the students have read the text closely. I encourage my students both to dive deeply into the text and to use the text as a jumping off point to discuss big ideas and issues.
