I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Third Grade, and served as a Reading Recovery Teacher and Reading Specialist for 12 years of my 29 years in public education. In addition, I have 9 years experience as a middle school Language Arts teacher and Reading Specialist. Finally, I have 8 years experience as a middle school administrator (two as an assistant principal and six as a principal). At the college level, I have taught Developmental Reading at Lord Fairfax Community College and Blue Ridge Community College. To round out my collegiate teaching, I have taught several semesters of Developmental Psychology and Introductory Psychology at Shenandoah University.
My teaching style incorporates engaging students with challenging lessons so that no student is bored or left behind.
