TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught 1st grade in a title one school, highly populated with ESL students, for 4 years. I specialized in teaching reading, specifically phonics. I studied vigorously under mentors to improve my small group reading groups as well as my whole group reading techniques. I now stay home with my children, which has given me a bit of time to develop my own reading curriculum. That is how Reading Noodle was born. I provide a subscription product for parents wanting to support their young readers. And now I have a TPT store for teachers to download the services as well!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in teaching the whole child and recognize that each child is an individual person and learns in their own unique way. I believe in providing different strategies and learning opportunities to meet those student needs.
