TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach 3rd grade, specifically reading, spelling, grammar, writing, and the social sciences. Prior to that, I taught for 7 years in 2nd grade where I taught all the core subjects. I student taught in 5th grade and substitute taught for a year at the elementary level.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Hands-on, interactive, and fun! I love using technology when it enhances our learning and I believe that collaborative learning is more engaging and meaningful! I love reading and vocabulary - I want my students to leave my classroom loving books just a little bit more than when they entered! I'm also a firm believer in using data to inform and drive decision-making and instruction! I love planning lessons and curriculum that use data and the standards to make learning engaging and accessible for students!
