TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I teach English Language Arts in an International Baccalaureate middle school in Memphis. I graduated Cum Laude in English from the University of Utah. Currently, I'm cofounder of ReadNimble, an educational startup aimed at giving teachers access to Common Core aligned close reads.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I regularly engage in read-alouds/close reading with my students. I do some class projects but try to focus my students on textual analysis as much as possible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Achieved a level five in student growth (highest possible score) for students improvement on end of year assessment. Received Praxis Reward of Excellence in English, scored in top 15% of all who have ever taken test.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BA English, University of Utah, Cum Laude
