I was a push-in reading teacher for grades 1 and 3 for two years. Then I became a first grade classroom teacher for four years. Now I am a reading specialist and I work with grades K-5. Along with being a reading specialist, I also serve as a facilitator for our Response to Intervention team.
I am a big proponent of differentiated instruction. I taught balanced literacy in first grade and I ran my math and writing instruction similar to my reading workshop. Small groups are the best!
