Responsibilites include: classroom preparation with appropriate materials based upon class age and children's abilites, fostering independence in the children's practial life skills, snack preparation, daily record keeping and reflecting on the child's growth, conference preparation and conference meeting with parents, assisting in parent education, and continuing to further my professional development through Montessori continuing education courses. Montessori Children's House, Fort Worth, TX 2007-2010 Montessori Certified Early Childhood Teacher in a Montessori environment for thirty children - aged three to six, which includes the preschool and kindergarten program. Responsible for classroom set up, management and lesson preparations through daily and weekly reviews of children’s progress in practical life, sensorial, math, language, cultural, science, geography and art areas. Handling of volunteer arrangements and preparation requirements for special monthly studies. Responsibilities as substitute included overseeing lessons in the practical life and sensorial areas of the classroom, snack preparations, clean up of area and playground attendance. Lunch Bunch teacher responsibilities included getting tables cleaned and set up for lunch group of children aged three to six, assisting child with lunch needs, overseeing playground and/or indoor activities. Montessori on Camp Bowie, Fort Worth, TX 2004, 2005 Class Librarian as volunteer Responsible for gathering weekly library books pertaining to study of classroom with children aged three to six. Volunteer mother for special projects.
