I have been a teacher for 11 years. I have taught general education, special education, reading intervention, and mentored new teachers. I have taught students with various disabilities and supported them to reach on-grade level standards through targeted interventions, strong parent/family engagement, innovative co-teaching implementations, remaining culturally and linguistically responsive, and centering students' interests at the heart of instruction. I am an Educational Consultant who provides professional development to schools and schools districts on RTI, MTSS, special education, co-teaching, and culturally responsive teaching. I am a Special Education Advocate who supports parents and legal guardians through the IEP and 504 process.
