TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching preschool and elementary music since 1989. Eight years of directing children's choirs. Suzuki trained violinist and pianist. I come from a musical family! Orff-Schulwerk Levels completed at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN. Kodaly Level 1, Dalcroze and Choral Music Experience training are some of the other methods I have experienced.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Eclectic approach: primarily Orff-Shulwerk and Kodaly. Singing, recorder, ensemble playing and composition are all areas that I spend a lot of time teaching!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Achievement in the area of Creativity from the Missouri Council for American Private Education, 1999. Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award, 1999.
