Ten plus years in the classroom, plus time as a tutor, mentor, forensics and drama coach, director, and mother!
The best way I can explain my teaching style is with the following three ideas: 1. When people ask me what I teach, what they mean is, "What subject or grade do you teach?" but what I want to tell them is, "I teach basic humanness." 2. If, by the time my students move on, they can take a stance and eloquently and rationally defend it so that others can at least understand why they take the stance they do, and they can listen to another and understand why someone else might take a different stance from themselves even if they don't agree with it, I consider it a success. 3. "Courage is not the absence of fear; it is acting in spite of it." Mark Twain
