TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm getting ready to enter my 6th year of teaching. I've been interested in teaching since I was in kindergarten and was able to achieve my dream by becoming a computer teacher. After working as the computer teacher for a year, I got to move to the classroom, where I've been ever since!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is more encouraging and asking questions - allowing the students to explore and try things out for themselves with me as a helpful navigator.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I received an award for a creative teaching lesson from the Study Council. It was for a unit I adapted/implemented using ePals and Language Arts.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a graduate of Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania eith a degree in Elementary Education. This summer, I will be completing my Master's Degree from Arkansas State University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm married to my best friend and high school sweetheart. We have two furry kids - Huten (dog) and Jack (cat). I love pretty much anything crafty and I have a huge addiction to Pinterest! I'm into all types of music and love to dance.
