I have taught 2nd grade for 10 years. I absolutely love the fact that I have a chance to impact a child's life in a positive way in both developing a relationship with them and giving them the tools they need to succeed in life.
I am an active teacher! I love to have my students moving and learning. I differentiate most any lesson/activity in my classroom. I utilize whole brain teaching, Daily 5, CAFE, and am always researching new, fun, and interesting ideas to implement in my classroom.
I have had many grants from Donors Choose fulfilled for my classroom. I was awarded Teacher of the Year for my school in 2012.
I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2005 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2010 with my Master's in Reading Education and obtained my reading specialist certification in grades K-12.
I love making teaching fun and learning exciting!
