TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have experience teaching kindergarten and second grade. I also have experience teaching summer school and as a private tutor. I have attended many different educational conferences and love learning new ideas.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love creating fun and engaging lessons for my students. I consider the needs of all students when planning lessons. I use flexible seating options with my students and have found great success in my classroom with it. Creating a sense of community is extremely important to me. Math Stations are something I believe in using in my classroom. I find they are a great way to review math concepts and foster a sense of independence in my students. I love to collaborate with my team and think working together helps best meet the needs of our students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been a "Teacher of the Year" nominee two times and been the recipient of multiple grants.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

My undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood Education and I have a Master's Degree in Reading.
