Since 1991, I have served as an educator through full-time, part-time, and substitute teaching. I have taught at every grade level, including higher learning. My most rewarding and exciting professional experience was teaching Contemporary College English at Shandong University of Technology in Zibo, China and providing lectures concerning reading education at Capital Normal University and Beijing Union University, both in Beijing, China. Also, I have served as an Education Specialist and Director of Education at local community centers, where I planned, orchestrated, and implemented educational programs for inner-city youth in grades k-8. In addition, I was hired as an instructor to teach college prep courses to high school students at local universities such as Gannon University and Edinboro University. Currently, I am the Founder and Executive Director of the Ready for Life Scholastic Center, Inc. Our mission is to demonstrate how academic skills are linked to employable opportunities in this 21st century. We have a very strong reading program and specialized programs such as academic assistance, aeronautics, robotics, architecture, Chinese language, and career education. Furthermore, I am a Reading Consultant and the author of Bobby's Secret is Out, which is a story that encourages our youth to identify their gifts and talents and use them to help develop their communities.
Challenging the mind and cultural infusion.
