TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach in Panama City, Panama. I seek to develop engaging and effective curriculum and learning activities for 9-12th grade language arts and AP Language and Composition. I work closely with teachers to implement a successful and rigorous English Program. I taught one year with Educational Services International (ESI) as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor. I instructed students enrolled in Viet Mi Group Schools in Bien Hoa, Vietnam, in conversational English.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I seek to use my knowledge of Language Arts and pedagogy to create a positive environment that fosters learning and creativity, international awareness, and rich technological integration. I combine a traditional education with progressive teaching methods to give my students a strong education with an emphasis on connecting knowledge to the real world around them.

I graduated Magna cum laude and received the ETS Recognition of Excellence: PRAXIS II. Masters Degree in International Education from Framingham State University

Masters of Education from Framingham State University I have a B.A. in English (Secondary Licensure Option). I am certified by the Association of Christian Schools International and have a Tennessee Standard Secondary Certificate. I have received training in Advanced Placement English Language and Composition.

I am an English Language Arts teacher currently living in Panama City, Panama, teaching high school English to international students. I am passionate about culture, travel, and broadening both my views and my students views about the world around them. I enjoy exploring the world both through literature and through travel.
