This is my 17th year of teaching. I have taught 8 years in Kindergarten, 3 years in Pre-K and I'm going into my 6th year of First Grade. This year, I am trying something new. I am actually teaching two different grade levels. I am continuing to teach First Grade half the day, but my homeroom class is actually a Second Grade class. It is going to be exciting! I began teaching in Texas over 20 years ago as a Bilingual Education Teacher (2 years in 1st Grade, and 1 year in Pre-Kindergarten). When my family moved to Colorado, I taught at my children's private pre-school for 2 years. Once we moved to Florida, I became a stay at home mom (again...I had taken some time off in Texas) until our 3rd child went to Kindergarten. That's when I became a Kindergarten teacher, and I loved teaching K for 8 years! I've now taught First Grade in Florida for the past three years, and now I'm adding the half-day of Second Grade... even so, I'll still keep making things for my Kindergarten friends! We now have 4 children, and I'm always trying to balance between being a mom and being a teacher! Freebies & Funnies at my blog,Fairy Tales And Fiction By 2!
Make it fun! ....And remember: EVERYONE makes mistakes!
