I am currently teaching at an international school in Suzhou, China. After teaching in St Louis, Missouri, I was ready for a change of pace and began exploring the world of international teaching. I am currently Head of World Languages and we have just opened World Languages to all Middle School students. I have experience teaching grades K - 12 and have enjoyed every one! Currently I am teaching MYP Spanish B to Grades 6 - 10 and IBDP Spanish to Grades 11 - 12. In addition to IB training, I am also trained in AP methodology.
I believe languages are best taught from a wide range of activities. I vary my teaching and learning activities roughly every 15 minutes, keeping with current brain research and student needs. Teaching a World Language opens doors to nearly every teaching and learning style available, from technology to paper and from viewing to presenting. Students are clearly the focus of every class, offering them multiple ways to practice new skills.

In addition to teaching, I love traveling. Joining the ranks of international teachers has given me the opportunity to do the two things I love most. In my free time I enjoy TaeKwonDo, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
