I have taught in a variety of classrooms and settings: as an English teacher at a High School in Le Mans, France; a youth care worker with teens in residential treatment; a student teacher in a self-contained special education classroom; and as a Resource Room teacher. I currently teach Special Education in the Resource Room at a Title One School. Check out my Blog! Many students are unable to access their education because of behavior and as a result my teaching style is both very structured and favors positive rewards and praise. I believe in explicitly telling a child what they we are learning, what the behavior expectations are etc, and molding my instruction around their abilities and needs. As a special education teacher, my instruction is always driven by data and as a result I have created a number of ways to collect that data.
Graduated with honors from both my Master's and Bachelors programs.
Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, French Minor, Master's in Special Education
I am married and live in Oregon with my husband. We happily raise a cat named Blue.
