I started teaching in a self contained math class for students in grades 2-5. From there, I taught 3rd grade inclusion for a year. The following two years I received a position teaching 4th grade inclusion. Then I moved into teaching resource room for grades 1-6. This is my 3rd year doing resource. I push into the general education classroom to support both my students and the teacher.
I use the hands on approach to teaching. I also find direct instruction very beneficial. I enjoy the workshop model and incorporate as much technology, games, manipulatives, organizers, etc, as possible!
I graduated with summa cum laude.
I graduated from Marist College with my Bachelors Degree in psychology/special education. I am certified in general education grades 1-6 and special education 1-6. I also have my Masters Degree from Marist College in educational psychology.
I recently got married to my high school sweetheart! We have a dog named Mack. I enjoy hiking, working out, reading, crafting, and home design.
