TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This year will mark my tenth year teaching and I have taught a wide range of grades throughout my teaching career. I previously taught chemistry and forensic science to high school students ranging in grades from 10-12. I currently teach sixth-grade middle school science and science exploration (coding, robotics, engineering, and entrepreneurship)

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal with any lesson that I teach is to engage a wide spectrum of learners. I create my lessons as an experience for all students to hear the content, practice the content, apply the concept, and reteach it to others. Some may say my classroom is chaotic but I call it organized chaos! We are always moving and changing the flow of things to keep my sixth grades students engaged and enjoying what they are learning.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Hello, I am Megan Patton a proud mom (both human and fur), wife, teacher, and crafter. I am also a lover of all things that glitter and sparkle, the outdoors, school supplies, and well anything science related! I fell in love with teaching at the age of five and have been pursuing this career ever since. I am a constant student always looking for learning opportunities to better myself as a teacher and bring new opportunities to my students. To say teaching is my career is an understatement it is my life and I am very proud to be able to share my life with you through Teachers Pay Teachers.
