TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Richardson, and I teach high school English in Saginaw, Michigan. I have 17 years of teaching experience, 12 years teaching AP Literature, 9 years teaching IB English Literature, IB Language and Literature, British Literature, World Literature, Women's Literature, Teen Literature, American Literature, English 9

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to teach through discussion, both small group and whole class. I do very little lecture. Students are usually engaged in an activity of some sort. I try to vary what I do with them each day so they never quite know what to expect. I try to be more of a facilitator than a teacher. I encourage my students to be bold and assertive with their ideas, and I hopefully teach them that they never truly stop learning.
