I love teaching science! I've been an educator in secondary public schools since 2004, most of that time teaching chemistry. I have also taught AP classes (chemistry and environmental science) and an integrated freshmen science class.
My work outside the classroom includes teaching a science methods class at Wabash College and presenting at AP-TIP Saturday study sessions for AP environmental science. I also recently spent a year as a digital learning coach, supporting teachers during year one of our 1:1 technology launch.
I love blending strategies so that my students get the best possible experience. I use the workshop model for lesson planning, integrating strategies like interactive science notebooks, modeling, POGIL, and flipped learning.
