After teaching 1st, 5th and 6th grade, I now am a principal at an Elementary School and leading my district in curriculum.
I considered myself as an outside of the box kind of teacher. I removed my desks from my classroom (including my own) and replaced them with tables and exercise balls. I worked with higher level material and set high expectations for my students that many thought were unachievable. I learned that if you don't accept excuses, and love students through their struggles, they will succeed.

I have always held my students to high expectations; however, with the new bar set by Common Core Standards, and the New Indiana Academic Standards for my state, I am seeing an increasing need for rigorous practice in the classroom. The products I sell on my site are created to help teachers prepare their students for success on more rigorous standards and standardized assessments.
